The Whirlpool Galaxy  This photograph shows the galaxy M51, which is also known as the Whirlpool Galaxy. The exposure was about 20 minutes long and was shot through a Celestron 8-inch SCT with an f/5 focal reducer. The film was Kodak 800 Professional Film.
