Outreach Services

OUTREACH:

The River Bend Astronomy Club is committed to astronomy outreach in the community. Our club is registered with NASA as a member of the Night Sky Network. This program brings the wonders of the universe to the public with many different outreach programs and materials. Members of the River Bend Astronomy Club present learning workshops using these NASA kits to teach both young and old all about the mysteries of our universe, basic optics, and methods astronomers use to learn about the universe. If you are interested in having our club do an astronomy outreach workshop for your school, camp, or other group.

LECTURES:

Another club service to the community is public speaking. Through the years, members have donated time to lecture organizations, schools and youth groups. We enjoy promoting astronomy, whatever the occasion, whatever the age level.
