The River Bend Astronomy Club has the following public telescope events scheduled for August and September 2026. Come out and see us!
All events are at the whim of the weather. Events may be cancelled due to weather conditions that are not conducive to telescope viewing.
August 15 – Ballard Nature Center , Altamont, IL from 8:30pm-10:30pm.
August 17 – First Quarter Moon Day, North Town Shopping Center, Highland, IL from 7pm-10pm.
September 21 – First Quarter Moon Day, North Town Shopping Center, Highland, IL from 7pm-10pm.
September 26 – Balloons over Marine Festival, Marine, IL town center square, Times to be determined but we will have solar telescopes as well as night telescopes.
